Shortcuts (hotkeys) used in Recollect
Recollect uses keyboard shortcuts to make creating, filtering, and managing notes more efficient. These are the available shortcuts.
Notes list view
- Cmd + C
- Creates a new note.
- Cmd + F
- Moves the focus to the filter bar to quickly filter notes.
- Enter
- When filtering notes, pressing the Enter key opens the first note in the results.
- ↓ & ↑
- Moves the focus to the next note.
- Cmd + I
- Opens the Tag Manager to quickly add, edit, or remove tags.
- Cmd + N
- Opens Recollect in a new window when installed as a standalone app, which is helpful when you want to have more than one note open.
Note view
- Cmd + S
- Manually saves the note. Otherwise, the note is automatically saved when it’s closed or focus is given to another app or window.
- Esc
- Closes and saves the note.
- Cmd + F
- Initiates the native browser find functionality to search the note.
