Shortcuts (hotkeys) used in Recollect

Recollect uses keyboard shortcuts to make creating, filtering, and managing notes more efficient. On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl in place of Cmd. These are the available shortcuts.

Notes list view

Cmd + C
Creates a new note. When you have text selected, it copies as usual instead.
Cmd + F
Moves the focus to the filter bar to quickly filter notes.
Cmd + I
Opens the Import Notes dialog.
Cmd + X
Opens the Tag Manager to create a new tag.
Enter
When filtering notes, opens the first note in the results. When a note in the list is focused, Enter (or O) opens that note.
&
Move the focus through the notes in the list; the J and K keys do the same. From the top of the list, returns focus to the filter bar.
Esc
Clears the current filter. In Bulk Edit mode, it exits Bulk Edit instead.

Note view

Cmd + S
Manually saves the note. Otherwise, the note is automatically saved when it’s closed or focus is given to another app or window.
Esc
Closes and saves the note.
Cmd + F
Uses your browser’s built-in find to search within the open note.
