How to view and restore note versions

Recollect automatically saves snapshots of your notes as you work, so you can look back at an earlier version or roll a note back if you change your mind. This is separate from Trash, which recovers notes you have deleted.

How versions are saved

A new snapshot is created automatically each time you close a note. Recollect keeps the 50 most recent snapshots for each note, and each one records the title, who made the change, and when.

Opening a note’s version history

Open the note, then click Note versions in the footer at the bottom of the note. You will see the list of saved snapshots, newest first.

Viewing and restoring a version

Version history is available to the note’s owner and is hidden while you are writing in Markdown mode. To recover a note you deleted entirely, see Restoring a deleted note instead.
