You can attach files, such as PDFs and documents, to your notes. Recollect stores your files in your own Backblaze B2 account, so you will connect Backblaze B2 once before adding files.

## Connecting Backblaze B2

Click the gear icon and select **Settings**, then open the **Files** tab. Enter your Backblaze **Key ID**, **Key Name**, and **Application Key**, then click **Connect Backblaze B2**. Once connected, you can add files to your notes, and you can update or remove the connection at any time with **Roll key** or **Disconnect**.

## Adding a file to a note

Open a note and click **File** in the toolbar **Insert** dropdown, or type / on an empty line and select **File**. Choose the file you want to attach. Files can be added while you are online.

## Automatic backups

Because your files are stored in Backblaze B2, you can also back up your notes there. On the **Files** tab, turn on **Automatically back up my notes** and choose how often backups run. You can also click **Back up now** to run one immediately.
